As stated in the current Classified Agreement, positions that are temporary, seasonal, or
authorized for an average of fewer than 20 work hours per week do not need to be announced.

HOWEVER, you must still get an electronic application from individuals interested in the
position. Applications are important to gather vital information about candidates such as prior
experience, qualifications, and background check information.

In order for candidates to complete an electronic application for these positions, a Non-Published
Announcement will need to be created to which candidates can submit an application.

Please note: the only difference in this process from creating a published announcement is that you answer No to the Publish question.
